Is it Spring yet?

Well last weekend it got really cold again which stopped our daily walks. I hate it when it is so cold! -30 is toooo much! I always feel super housebound and grumpy by the end of the day. On Saturday Kyle and I dragged our butts out and got food for a Valentines day dinner... mmm RIBS! We had a blast and just relaxed and watched movies that night.
It is finally warming up a bit this week and by warming up I mean -10 instead. But hopefully this is the start of something!
Trace has become more and more mobile.. he has fallen down our two stairs that lead to our mudroom (I was terrified but he seemed ok after a few minutes of crying), he also pulled a wine bottle off of our rack and smashed it on the tile. No glass on him though we are lucky. I have barricaded off parts of our living room upstairs so he pretty much has free range over everything and I don't have to worry about him as much. Since he became mobile there are definitely more bumps, bruises and tears but he handles them pretty well.
Still no teeth for Trace... wondering if he will be the toothless wonder forever!
Anyways thought I would post a small update.. more to come hopefully this weekend!!!!

Trace is 8 months... WHAT!

Yea so I can't believe how time is flying. Trace is 8 months... mobile... getting into everything. And we are loving every minute of it! Trying to take time out to blog has been next to impossible but I thought I would do a little update.
About 3 weeks ago Trace started crawling... he was doing the snake in a way.. and now he is full on crawling no more face plants and man does he MOVE! He has been pulling up on ANYTHING he can find and loves that he is seeing more of our house from his perspective. We are trying to keep up with the baby proofing and I am very thankful that we have pets as most things are already put up and out of the way.
About 3 weeks ago was also when Trace had his first cold, what a nightmare! He was wheezing and coughing and throwing up and gagging on flem.. yuck. And his nose was completely stuffed. The dr. sent us for an Xray of his chest... (that contraption in itself is a nightmare although Trace just laughed and hung out like it was no biggie) and it came back clear. I have to say I LOVE my dr. She took every precaution and just made me feel 100% better about everything. Around the time of his first cold Trace decided that he was done breast feeding. I was devastated. We were only feeding once a day right before bed the rest had already been weened but I don't know if I was ready yet. That feeling of being needed and how only I could put him to bed was something I really treasured. But I was told that since I had gotten my cycle back that sometimes your milk taste changes and the babies don't like it, so that would explain that! But it didn't make it any easier to let go.
In good news I got a new stroller!!!!!!! yes this was very exciting, since I normally strap Trace to me in my Cuddlywrap and walk the dog and couldn't b/c it was so icy out. Our Graco stroller although I loved it for warmer weather had really small and plastic wheels and so getting around in deeper snow was a no go. Therefore Whiskey was not going for walks. I had looked around and decided that I wanted a Phil and Ted's sport. In black! Not only is it a air filled three wheel stroller but it also converts to a 2 baby stroller! YIPEEE! So we have now been on many walks and I have to say Whiskey is happier!
I have so much more to say but Trace is sitting on the floor beside me taking apart my Cd collection... must save them! I hope to post again soon!
